To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. Kodeclik is hosted on a cloud computing platform with numerous security features such as multi-factor authentication, access control lists, virtual private clouds, and subnets. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. As industry standards evolve, Kodeclik strives to ensure that our security precautions and procedures are updated to reflect industry best practices.

Please report blog or forum posts that contain this kind of access information and, where applicable, please remind authors of the dangers of doing so.

6. Our Commitment To Chidren’s Privacy

We are steadfastly committed to the privacy of children who access Kodeclik’s services. Children cannot directly register for or access our courses and videos without a parent first creating child accounts and providing access to the account to their children. Through the parent login, access to the site’s services for children can be controlled or curtailed as necessary. Children are not directly targeted through ads or other means since no direct contact information is collected for the children. The site also does not have abilities for children to directly communicate with each other and so the potential for situations such as cyber-bullying is not present. Coding products submitted by one child might be, with the express initiation of the child/parent, shared on the Kodeclik site to foster a sense of community and engagement. When such contributions are shared, no personally identifiable information for the child will be provided alongside the content. Parents are cautioned however that if the child’s login resembles their login on a third party website (Facebook), then one has the ability to link their activity on Kodeclik with the activity on such third party websites.

7. Links

When you click on links on our site, they may direct you away from our site to a third-party website or application. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

8. Third Parties

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as the Stripe payment gateway have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
Other forms of third parties involve the software that you install on your computer based on instructions in our lessons and courses. Such third party software includes software libraries, software executables, interactive development environments (IDEs), game building environments, animators, programming language implementations, and in general any software that can be used for educational purposes. While Kodeclik takes care to feature only verified and safe third-party software, we are not responsible for malware or other forms of cyber-attacks that originate due to the installation and use of such third party software.

9. Updates to this Privacy Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
